BSA Troop # 860

About Us

The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical choices over their lifetime by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.

Citizenship - Leadership - Life Skills

Troop 860 was founded in 1981 and has a tradition of leadership, citizenship, and service to the community.  The troop is chartered by the Hermosa Beach Rotary Club which was started in 1931 and is part of Rotary International.  In its history the troop has seen 67 scouts advance to the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest rank in scouting.  Although advancement is an important part of the scouting experience, the troop also stresses outdoor outings, community service, and leadership development in the framework of a scout lead troop.
